Question for those who have seen the movie "The Final Cut"?

Now I have just finished watching this movie. The ending kind of confused me...the very last scene where Alan walks away from the mirror, but the camera does not follow with his eyesight. It was as if the camera was hidden beneath the mirror or something. But he had one of the Zoe implants in him. Can anyone explain to me what that was all about...?
